Our game "Was this here before?" follows a tiny black cat stuck in a liminal space where things don't stay in one place and your memory tries to fool you. Your goal is to find the exist, but be careful! Only one door is safe.

"Was this here before?" uses procedural generation in three ways:

1) random curse assignment - each playthrough randomly selects which 1 of 4 rooms is safe.

2) random furniture spawning - unique furniture pieces spawn at different locations each time with a chance to start cursed.

3) random curse events - cursed rooms randomly transform furniture, make items appear/disappear, or swap positions with multiple variant possibilities per furniture type.
This ensures no two playthroughs are identical, even though the dungeon layout itself remains fixed.

Keep in mind our game is only a prototype with only one available level, but with great replayability potential. Each run is different.

Our game is available on itch.io with no need to download it.

>Hold down Right Click- write down furniture currently present in room

>Hover over paper- close notes

How you play it is up to you to figure out:)

(If you enter the right door, you will just leave the map, there will be more levels in the future.)
